BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Coaching to process engineer or assistant process engineer, lead the small functional team for the complex process development, continuous improvement and project support.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Co-work with process section manger, to lead the new technology or process introduction

· Focus on the process improvement, from process stability, efficiency, productivity, manual work less and cost reduction wise

· Contact with project manager or customer directly, to support the critical project or process request the APQP, PPAP procedure implemented

· Equipment down time analysis, OEE improvement

· Coaching and work together with process engineer to prepare the WI, then coordinate the training to production leader and operators

· PCBA related tooling and fixture design, maintenance and management.

· Co-work with project engineer, testing engineer to improve the whole project’s profit from material, process flow, cycle time reduction

· Process study for the environmental friendship, safe concern and RoHS compliance whenever there is a customer or product required

· Co-work with process section manager, to develop the internal general process procedure (MEI), and review periodically

· Lean activities involvement, and co-leader in the PCBA process section

Dimensions / Scope

· Lead a temporary functional team, include process engineer, technicians, relevant department members to a new or special process set up and study.

Lead a similar functional team above, to perform a troubleshooting, or Lean Kaizen project

Interaction / Relationship

· Internal: Production/PMC/Quality/FE/EHS/Sales/Purchasing/Sourcing

External: Supplier/Customer

Education, Qualification and training

College education and major in electric or electronics. (Exception of education will be considered if whom have the actual experience above 10 years)

Experience or skills required

· Min. 5 years work experience in SMT Wave soldering process

· Min. 5 years work experience in PCB Assembly/Backplane fabrication process

· Familiar with press-fit machine and press-fit connector specification

· Familiar with PCBA process flow and working instruction preparation

· Stronger engineering logic and trouble-shooting capability.

· Familiar with process improvement tools.

· Skilled in PCBA Gerber tools, SMT machine programming tools

· Capable of English, read and written at least

Should have the basic information security risk identification and judgment.

Specialised knowledge or skills required

· Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949

Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, DOE, and lean manufacturing
