Objective – Support of sustaining issues mainly but not limited to mechanical items, cost reduction, and quality program efforts in Vietnam.

Summary of Position – Key involvement in quality analysis, troubleshooting and corrective action efforts for individual, mechanical components (especially for tooling parts) and end product assemblies. Efforts to include vendor and CM visits, technical support, interdepartmental communication, vendor communication, and documentation development and support.

Job Responsibilities

Hands-onevaluation and interaction with vendors and CMs in response to productquality and production fall-out related to mechanical issues.

Coordinatequality initiatives between interdepartmental teams as well as externalsuppliers and contract manufacturers.

Activelytroubleshoot quality related issues leading to a root cause analysis coupledwith corrective action recommendations.

Facilitateand oversee the implementation of corrective actions between vendors, CMsand interdepartmental design groups.

Collaboratewith and support design engineering team to optimize and complete Solidworksmodels, assemblies, and drawings.

Participatein multi-discipline teams utilizing DFMA and FMEA.

Basedon quality findings and improvement efforts, provide design suggestions whichcould improve product quality and offer potential cost reductions.

Managetransitions of plastic tooling from one supplier to another.

Managesthe mold list and works with the mechanical design team to implement newtools when needed.

Evaluatesdelivery schedule risks and assists in the resolution of any mechanicalproblem that threatens the team to meet production delivery deadlines,including sustaining issues.

Assistsin the qualification of new plastic parts.

Capable of multiple project assignments and working within a dynamic open officeenvironment is a must.

Specifications

Minimum4 -year technical degree from an accredited institution Masters Degreepreferred.

Atleast 5 years working experience in consumer electronics products, toolingitems related. Has the waterproofdesign product experience is preferred.

Mustbe an outstanding communicator.Must be fluentin English, both verbal and written.

Abilityto identify production/manufacturing problems and lead resolution efforts.

Musthave a good understanding of plastic injection molding, Die-cut tooling,etc...

Isself-starting, self-motivated, and a goal oriented team member.

Abilityto prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.

Capableof multiple project assignments, possesses both the ability to workindependently and work with a team to accomplish tasks.

Proficiencyin Solidworks (3-5 years’ experience), PDM works, Microsoft office,Oracle.

Working knowledge of using Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauge and common handtools.

Iswilling and able to travel both domestically and internationally.

Lives in Vietnam.
