SUMMARY OF POSITION: Design test Software, building, debug, implementation, documentation, and maintain ATE fixtures for electrical testing of PCBA and Final assemblies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Establish an ATE test process based on industry standards, using available hardware and software, to build an ‘open’ test system.

?Work with RSC and CM (Contract Manufacturer) engineers to identify test requirements and process.

?Design, build, document and debug ATE fixtures for performing electrical test on PCBA and Final assemblies.

?Provide fixture wiring diagrams and BOM’s for the control board.
?Design, verify and document ATE test fixtures and procedures.
?Train CM and RSC engineers on ATE use.
?Help CM’s implement ATE into production.
?Maintain ATE throughout its life, responding quickly to production problems.
?Ensure key ATE design and implementation milestones are met successfully.
?Create ATE development cost estimates.
?Prepare RFQ’s and purchases requests for ATE parts and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
?At least 4 years experience in designing ATE test software for electrical testing of PCBA and final assemblies based on Product samples and a Test Specification.
?Ability to design ATE using National Instruments and LabView software and equipment, using appropriate bus interface. (GPIB, USB, RS232,Ethernet)
?Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience required
?Must have a high level skillset for the understanding and use of National Instruments LabView software to produce operator interface displays and control devices.
?Knowledge of National Instruments DAQ cards and equipment with the ability to select appropriate devices to support existing projects and new testing technologies we may need in the future.
?Familiar with Analog and Digital Circuit analyses and application.
?Ability to work on multiple ATE projects simultaneously, meeting the schedule for each.
?Ability to work independently and with a team.
?Skilled in use of Digital Voltage Meters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Supplies.
?Proficient use of PADS Schematic and Layout software, Gerber viewer programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
?Proficient soldering skills.
?Oral and written English and Mandarin skills needed to communicate well with both Chinese and American engineers in person, by email and by telephone, minimum CET 4.
