Support existing IT infrastructure
· Assist in supporting Gentherm Shenzhen network system LAN/WAN/WWAN
· Assist to support VMWare, Email, Backups, File server, Anti-Virus, Security, and CCTV system
· Assist in ensuring all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained
· Assist in maintaining and supporting other computer peripheral devices such as printers, switches, access points, etc.
· Assist to monitor IT Equipment routinely. Proactively monitor various aspects of IT infrastructure (e.g. network traffic flow end to end), identify areas of concern and escalate if necessary to ensure all aspects meet SLAs and business needs, and support in developing action plans to address them.
Involved in helpdesk operations
· Support local leadership on IT infrastructure designs, standards/policy definition, and operations.
· Provide assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
· Set up and configuring new laptops and desktops
· Set up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
Involved in regional/global activities
· Involved in small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the Regional IT Manager and IT Supervisor
· Support implementation, and documentation of network servers, routers, switches, security, and any other infrastructure related equipment
· Participation in the development of the Gentherm IT systems
· Support IT Supervisor to implement, manage, maintain and document network servers, routers, switches, security, and any other infrastructure related equipment.
· Support IT Supervisor in executing computer maintenance with other Information Technology professionals such as Region or Global IT teams
· Work with IT Supervisor and other global & regional IT administrators to support existing Data Center, especially in terms of managing the SANs, Virtual Infrastructures, power, cooling, cabling, and network.
· Support all security related issues and work closely with different groups to resolve different vulnerabilities.
· Support in ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops, laptop, and core servers
· Support global IT team to implement and support the IT (Server, WAN, LAN and wireless) infrastructure.
Training
· Support IT Supervisor in training staff and orienting them on how to use computer hardware and software systems
Misc
· Domestic and International travel whenever required
· Work extra hours to meet deadlines, as required and where reasonable.
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Regional IT Manager, and IT Director.
Support in creating the required budget for the IT, Network, Security and business systems group.
